One Stop Shopping

Where do I go to get rpgs, dynamite, fragmentation grenades, etc. that I want to smuggle into Mexico? [More]

You guessed it! BATFU-monitored gun shops and those damned American gun shows!

And people believe this sh**.

State of the States

Washington reminds itself about the 10th Amendment.

New Hampshire reminds itself about Jeffersonian principles of states' rights.

We shall see if these amount to anything more than high-sounding words.

UPDATE: And Arizona...

OK, Let's Say He Was Wrong

Robert Ollie Sr. said Tuesday he called 911 when he heard the fight begin between his son and four other men, but he said he received a busy signal that Sunday night. [More]
Let's say he was mistaken and misdialed the number.

Or let's say his call had gotten through.

Does anyone seriously believe it would have made a damn bit of difference?

Via WarOnGuns Correspondent GK, who tells me:
This happened pretty near me, and there was an armed robbery across the street this last week and a sexual assault about 1/8th of a mile away...

[W]hile I was carrying my .30-06 and .45 from the car up to my room I had an interesting run in with someone. I usually check to see if someone is in the hallway before I start loading or unloading guns (from the car), as I don't want anyone to know that I have them (until they have entered my apartment without permission). I checked, and then proceeded to take them from my car to my room. A girl opened her door, said simply "oh my God" and slammed the door closed...and then dead-bolted and chained the door. I guess I'm just used to back at home, where if you had a gun people wanted to know what make/model/caliber it is or how the hunting was.

Welcome to Camp Alcee

To direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers on military installations. [More]
Alcee, of course, is against you having guns. Because you're racist.

So it's a good thing they'll make sure you're disarmed before they take you pris... uh... let you in.

I SEE You...

It could also raise privacy concerns, but Google is doing its best to avoid a backlash by requiring each user to manually turn on the tracking software and making it easy to turn off or limit access to the service.

Google also is promising not to retain any information about its users' movements. Only the last location picked up by the tracking service will be stored on Google's computers, Lee said. [More]

Yeah, but if Homeland Security decides we need to just leave it on and record everybody everywhere, well, if you're not doing anything wrong, what have you got to hide?

Any doubts how many of the cud-chewers would go right along with this? Still, it could also be used to provide an alibi...

But it'll be a moot point anyway, as soon as we all get those Tommy Thompson implants.

We're the Only Ones Safely Storing Enough

A gun used to kill a woman last month on the Far West Side belonged to a Columbus police sergeant, and investigators are trying to figure out how the murder suspect got it.

Sgt. Douglas Williams, a 31-year police veteran who works in the Strategic Response Bureau, has told homicide investigators that he didn't realize the gun was missing until detectives asked him about it. [More]

See, this is why we should have never stopped suing gun manufacturers, and why we need registration, ammunition accountability, no gun show loophole... And if this can happen to a trained "Only One," why just imagine how dangerous it is trusting you and me with such a dangerous instrument of death.

Sheila Dixon's Prestidigitation

What a brilliant illusion. Surrounded by police, she creates a solid-looking mirage of standing on the side of law and order. And by centering her act on the emotionally charged issue of guns in the community, she keeps the audience's rapt attention focused right where she wants it--and away from where she does not. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column explains the secrets behind an illusion performed by a Mayor Against (Your) Guns.

We also have a new GRE in Denver.

I ask all WarOnGuns regulars to please share its link far and wide.

This Day in History: February 4

You are to endeavour, as much as possible, to harrass and annoy the Enemy by keeping Scouting parties constantly (or as frequently as possible) around their Quarters. [More]
