Take Your Outreach and Reach In with It

Dance in someone else's blood. [More]

Preaching to the Choir

The choir is comprised of people up there performing. They put themselves on the line. To get ready for that, they practice. And study. And work. And get to the venue. And put other things on hold to fulfill their commitments to people depending on them. And they’ll do it again next week. And the week after that. [More]
My latest JPFO Alert notes just because someone hears the music doesn't mean they help carry the tune.

If Only We Had Licensing and Registration!

Isn't it time we had a national conversation on common sense car safety laws? [More]

Sounds of Silence

There will, of course, be opposition. [More]
They're looking to implement common sense hearing safety in Illinois...

So naturally, the antis, who want you deaf as well as dead, are bellowing at the top of their lungs.

New York Times anti-gun agenda not limited to editorial page

In fairness, the online edition of The New York Times did post a Reuters filing on Feb. 11, but nothing from The Times’ staff. Funny thing though. I just got back from my hometown library, where they have a subscription to the national edition of The Times, and I couldn't find the story in their print edition. I looked through copies from Wednesday, Thursday and today. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes the paper of record seems to be missing some tracks. I wonder why that is...

Sorry, Grandpa Vanderboegh

Cautions notwithstanding, feel free to poke this Wolverine. [More]

Y'know, if you don't like it here "mate," you can go back to Australia.

So Much for Gun Safety

That's why you post a picture of... no, I'm not even going to explain to you idiots what you did wrong here. And no, that photo wasn't automatically embedded from the article they link to.  So I wonder who took it, and where.

As long as I'm looking at their social media, and you'll understand why when I post today's GRE, check out this tweet:

I was going to reply "You have no gun lobby friends," but then I thought I'd better hold that in check due to some of the people from "our side" passing along the link to that same article with the same sentiments.

I repeat my question.

Would I Lie?

Why of course you can, anonymous email malware and/or phishing spammer.

Just ask Franky Samora.

HA!
I don't need you people any more. I'm RICH!

So long, suckers!

We're the Only Ones Getting Off to a Rocky Start Enough

I wonder what kind of reaction there will be, and who will be targeted if it's aggressive. I wonder if Oath Keepers will be asked in by anyone if things play out as they well could.

UPDATE: Workman's take.

You're NOT of the Body!

“Near the end of the sermon, members of the congregation were asked to raise their right hands and make a pledge, which included the promise to call 911 on ‘suspicious’ neighbors.” [More]
Joy to you, friend. Peace and contentment will fill you. You will know the peace of Landru. Except when "progressive" sensibilities are offended, and then this always seems to happen:

On the bright side, having softer targets nearby may present certain advantages...

Good Morning Alaska

Been a while, but I'll be joining up with Michael Dukes again at 10:30 a.m. Eastern for his drive time program in Anchorage. [Listen]

Ha!

We're colder than they are!

UPDATE: Podcast is here.

Rejecting Chris Murphy's Advances

Ewwww, creepy. Get lost, Chris. You're shameful and disgusting, and decent people want nothing to do with you. Now stop insisting on inserting yourself into the personal space of others and go away. [More]

Sounds Familiar

That seems to be the feeling of many in the firearms community who eye this legislation with suspicion. They argue that if someone is too dangerous to have guns “they should either be in jail or in a padded room.” [More]
So anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian?

Enabling Atrocities

I agree, Bill, it was horrible and inexcusable. [More]

But you using it to join Obama in a "moral equivalency" game aimed at excusing the Islamic State doesn't prevent it from happening again. It assures that it will.

That you and he actively subvert the one thing that has proven effective is telling.

"Progressives." Opposite Day.

If monsters set loose among us by ruling elite policy succeed in staged atrocity events here, you will have been among their enablers.

Captain's Log

We're the Only Ones Helping Ourselves Enough

Court documents list cash, a money clip, a digital camera, a parka, a cordless drill and tool bag as items Howze is accused of taking from a vehicle. [More]
In fairness with all the authorized stealing that goes on, it's easy to see how the line gets blurred.

The List Grows

Another county has sent a message to the legislature opposing any attacks on 2nd Amendment rights. [More]
Funny, how the ones ignoring them are the ones who scream "Home Rule!" the loudest when it comes to gun grabs.

Florida Bills Advance -- Support Needed

From Florida Carry:

  • SB 290 will create an exception to current carry restrictions for those individuals who are in the process of complying with a mandatory evacuation order.
  • SB 176 simply removes college campuses from the prohibited places list in Florida's Concealed Carry License law.

About Those "Loopholes"

Nothing about that "single issue" here... [More]

And heck, we might as well pay for the privilege.

This Day in History: February 13

This Your Excellency’s influence must effect. In order to it, it will be adviseable not to discountenance their endeavours to procure redress, but rather by the intervention of confidential and prudent persons, to take the direction of them. This however must not appear: it is of moment to the public tranquillity that Your Excellency should preserve the confidence of the army without losing that of the people. This will enable you in case of extremity to guide the torrent, and bring order perhaps even good, out of confusion. ’Tis a part that requires address; but ’tis one which your own situation as well as the welfare of the community points out.
