That's All, Folks...

I wasn't expecting to go on the radio today so don't have time to separately post all the links that have come in, so I'll go out 'til Monday (unless something big comes up) with an aggregate:

Daily Defense

Go to the AAR website to listen live or find a station near you.

Think of It as 'Repurposing'

Gun Group Dumps Broken Guns At Police Buyback Event, Uses Cash For NRA Camp For Kids - Chicago gun buybacks have helped the group raise $12,000 for the children's shooting safety camp, an organizer says [More]

Then I read:

Though Boch was able to give away two guns at the June 2 event, he said he attempted to turn in 11. He said a police sergeant stopped him and told him the event was “not for outsiders” and the department would only accept two guns from him.

Did you get his name? If it was open to the public and advertised as "No questions asked," I'd be looking into a citizen complaint and a lawsuit.

The Abandoner-in-Chief

Disgrace: Biden abandoned over 60,000 Afghan interpreters, support personnel -- along with 14,000 Americans [More]

And yet we heard from his own mouth that he knew exactly what to expect from such a departure.

Despised by the Despicable

A white administrator is claiming she was fired based on her race, and based on her complaints that her department chair said "I despise white people" and various other things. [More]

What did Kurt Hofmann always say about that...?

No More Business as Usual Part Two

Seventeen gun firms flee to friendlier states [More]

Wake me when they stop supplying and servicing them.

How About No More Business as Usual?

Biden WH Doubles Down: Repeal Frivolous Lawsuit Protections for Gun Makers [More]

Who besides Sig Sauer and FN could take the lead here...?

South of the Border, Down Mexico Way

Video: El Guanito, Chapo Guzmán's nephew, shoots inside a bar and wounds a man [More]

No doubt thanks to those "lax American gun laws" again...

The Wrong Question

Does a Law Enforcement Oath Mean Anything Anymore? [More]

When did it?

[Via bondmen]

Yeah, Statehood, That's the Ticket...

Four individuals were murdered at 11:49 pm yesterday, in front of the La Lomita business, on Los Oliques street, in the Certenejas neighborhood, in the eleventh massacre recorded this year. [More]

That was the movie we saw the other day.

Enemies Foreign and Domestic

Reminder: Ilhan Omar’s Father was Top Propaganda Official in Genocidal Barre Regime – Then He Changed His and Her Name and Entered US Illegally [More]

There goes government "secur[ing] the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" again...

Texas Hold 'em a Gamble

As this South Texas border county has seen a jump in illegal border crossings, Sheriff Brad Coe is cooperating with groups of armed private citizens to help patrol the border and arrest migrants for trespassing. [More]

I hope these fellas know what they're doing but can't help wonder how many CIs are involved...

We're the Only Ones Questioning Enough

“Unfortunately, for this detective, it was a rather huge mistake,” said former prosecutor David Weinstein. “Again, because this defendant invoked his right to counsel after he was in custody and did not want to talk without his lawyer present, the detective should have stopped questioning him.” [More]

Way to blow it, dumb@$$. I suppose you'll still have a job?

We'll hear from young Warneric again, and chances are it will involve his fellow "supremacists."

If It's Good Enough for ATF...

Now they were headed to El Paso, Texas, to sell the stolen weapons. The two men had heard from contacts that the customers were taking the haul into Mexico. [More]

You can't blame them for thinking those directing such efforts don't get punished for it.

[Via bondmen]

The Chicken or the Egg?

University of Minnesota's 'Antiracism and Healthy Equity Center' claims 'birthing people' are at higher risk of premature deliveries in over-policed neighborhoods [More]

So correlation equals causation? It has nothing to do with people in "over-policed neighborhoods" on average making less-healthy lifestyle choices?

Forgive me for wondering if there was a little less birthing in such areas there might be a little less need for policing...

Know the Drill

Constitutional Attorney Explains What "A Well Regulated Militia" ACTUALLY Means [Watch]

A good basic intro for low-information types who have fallen for the collectivist fraud but still have an open mind.  He needs to work on pronouncing "prefatory."

I've actually had arguments with other "constitutional attorneys" ostensibly on "our side" who maintain the Militia Act means registration is not an infringement because men were expected to show up with required arms, powder, shot, and support gear. Yeah, I can see when they become part of a unit making sure that what they brought works, is sufficient, and is accounted for, but that has nothing to do with what they didn't bring and left at home for the family.

I Feel the Need, the Need for Speed

The American Addiction to Speeding - How we became obsessed with driving fast, no matter the cost. [More]

Shoot, don't they have licensing and registration?

Ah well, no worries. Speed governors will follow after we've all gotten used to breathalyzers.

I'm waiting for some hysterical control freak to demand that car GPS be used to identify and incriminate noncompliant drivers. And then for AI drive mandates until they outlaw private vehicles and force all non-elites to use pubic transit.

Something to Watch

On December 16th, anti-gun leaders Senator Feinstein and Senator Durbin joined arms with Republican Senators Ernst and Murkowski to announce: “After nearly three years of negotiations, we have reached an agreement… “We are committed to introducing a bipartisan, modernized VAWA reauthorization next month.” Senator Feinstein went on to brag that this compromise would expand the misdemeanor gun ban. Given the makeup of the Senate, there is NO REASON that gun control should pass this Congress. And to be sure, Senators who were elected on a pro-gun platform have no business HELPING the Biden Administration enact its gun control agenda. [More]

I'd send the email but my "Republican" Senator Portman is an on-his-way-out Vichycon lump with nothing to lose and Democrat Sherrod Brown is a flat-out cultural Marxist.

Right now they're making lots of noise and puffing themselves up. I want to see if the needle moves over at GovTrack, which currently gives this a 2% passage prognosis. That will determine if it's worth writing another column.

The bigger issue here is dumping those traitorous hags Murkowski and Ernst, and that's mostly up to their constituents.

Getting Down to Caseys

Nope. Absolute waste of my time. He's one of the most obnoxious-about-it gun-grabbers out there.

Some of us have been suggesting workaround alternatives for years and we keep seeing this. Sorry, GOA, if you don't like our ideas, come up with superior ones of your own.

Going UP...

The Second Amendment Foundation and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms have petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court for review of their challenge to Maryland’s ban on modern semiautomatic rifles. [More]

What the court does (or doesn't do) with it will confirm Mr. Kennedy's assertion.

Revolution Nearing Completion

Fauci says a redefinition of fully vaccinated is ‘on the table’ [More]

If words have no meaning they can mean anything.

Maybe that's what Orwell meant by "perfect" language.

UPDATES (I guess I'll use this post as today's Covid aggregator):

CDC panel downgrades J&J vaccine due to blood-clot deaths [More]

I'd retitle this "Government Admits Using Citizens as Guinea Pigs." Just remember, you can't sue.

UPDATE:

Researchers there have been checking the wastewater and found something interesting. Omicron is suddenly prevalent — but Omicron patients at local hospitals are not. [More]

Is that why the usual suspects are trying to scare everybody sh!+less?

UPDATE:

It’s time to abolish ‘emergency’ COVID-19 powers [More]
