Good Guy with a Gun

It's telling whose agenda would have been served by a different outcome.

A Dignified Approach

On Tuesday, Novak approved an unusual transportation plan for Hicks sought by the government and his lawyer in an effort to protect his health, safety and dignity. The arrangements could involve cutting through a wall where he lives, bracing the structure and even cutting down some trees. [More]

Of course it does. You can mold 'em to believe anything.

Exhibit A.

Keep 'em childish and you can introduce even more outrageous fantasies.

I Love It When a Plan Comes Together!

By incremental changes in each of our 50 states, our nation is being transformed, and it is being coordinated with great success by the globalist/Marxists in alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood.  [More]
I do take exception with one statement the author makes, or at least with an unacknowledged reality:
It was not a mistake that she pulled out the old blood libel that Jews and those who support Israel are guilty of having “dual loyalties.”
My issue isn't with "support." It's with "dual citizenship," so my objection isn't Israel-specific, but applies across the board.

Worth Every Penny

How many more concepts are they unclear on? Or is it enrollment is free but the course itself costs?*

Well if NPR is for it...

[Via Roger J]

*UPDATE: Yeah, they want 49 bucks for it if you want the certificate.

I can see this is going to take more time than I have and I'm fairly certain my quiz answers will guarantee "failure," especially when I see one of the four lead instructors is this apparatchik...

The second is a gunkapo...

The third wants more infringements against bearing arms (and insists gun owners do too)...

And the fourth feeds off suicide.

Feel free to take the course if you like. Now that I know the names of the teachers, I can find all I need to know about their biases with 5 minutes on Google.

They've Had Background Checks and Everything!

“As of Feb. 21, 2019, 228 international military students from Afghanistan have been identified as AWOL," said Carissa Cutrell, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman. “These are across the U.S.” [More]

Confidence Man

Wayne LaPierre expensed $39,000 in clothes in one day, $18,300 for car and driver, ad agency says; NRA says board has ‘full confidence’ in him [More]
This is behind a paywall, and you can get the gist of the story from other sources (TTAG has the docs and relevant analysis), but there are a couple specifics in the WSJ article I think need to be highlighted and addressed:
The NRA released a statement from Carolyn Meadows, its new president, who said the “entire board is fully aware of these issues.
As a 25+ year life member, I've already asked who the hell this person is and noted she was appointed based on wagon-circler/swamp connections rather than any remarkable proven fidelity or achievements as a defender of RKBA. And per my NRA board member source, someone I have known for many years:
Even though President Meadows is quoted as saying "the entire Board is aware of these issues," well, this is one Board member that is not.
And then there's this:
As for the summer intern, Ackerman wrote that Mr. LaPierre “required we rent” her an apartment and requested that Mr. LaPierre provide details about his business relationship to the young woman.
Uh, yeah, details, please.

Who needs Cuomo when you have The Lairds of Fairfax? Although he will no doubt viciously drive his forces through the opening they have given him.

Also, WarOnGuns Correspondent Felix B sends a comprehensive document link.

What a self-created mess. And no, I don't expect any changes that are not forced, and won't be surprised to see Trump start distancing himself.

Rocks in His Head

A man who was shot earlier this week in Maryland has died, police say [More]
Oops:
A man who authorities initially said was fatally shot last month was actually killed when he was struck by a rock during a struggle with a robbery victim acting in self-defense, Prince George’s County police said.
But never ones to let an opportunity go to waste...

Meanwhile, despite overwhelming evidence they refuse to acknowledge, let alone explain their deliberate indifference toward, our own "centers of gravity" remain silent.

As always, I recommend contacting representatives you won't be wasting your time with and not wasting time on committed anti-gun fanatics in safe districts. If you have no rep worth writing to, find one whose seat is not so assured and pressure him.  He doesn't need to know you're not a constituent, especially if contacted through "social media," and besides, the edicts they pass affect us all.
