A second televised report, “Armed and ready: Militia culture in America,” features footage of Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars addressing the armed Restore the Constitution rally that took place last year on April 19 from a park in Virginia within sight of the nation’s capitol, and also includes comments from this correspondent in an interview with reporter Kaelyn Forde that took place in March. [More]Today's second Gun Rights Examiner column also includes the second video of the day from the Russian network's U.S. division featuring yours truly.

We're the Only Ones Concerned Enough
Chicago police voice concern about conceal-carry bill [More]Well of course they do.
They join their Illinois State Police littermates in recommending more acceptable alternatives should you find yourself in mortal danger. You know:
Vomit.
Surrender.
Scream.
The only thing they're not voicing concern for is you surviving.
Forget it Jake, it's Chi-Town.
We're the Only Ones Call Forwarding Enough
The Michigan State Police have a high-tech mobile forensics device that can be used to extract information from cell phones belonging to motorists stopped for minor traffic violations. [More]
Interesting background for those behind this. Can't help but wonder about a Mossad connection...
So I can see a counter-terror and crimefighting use for this. What I can't see is MI thug "Only Ones" deploying it wholesale on We the People without warrants.
Whoever made the decision to do that deserves to have every cell phone electriraped to date shoved up his...
And whoever decided to charge $544+K to answer a FOIA deserves to have the same amount of money shoved up his--in quarters.
What do you want to bet it's the same person, and an operator's voice will tell you to insert another 25 cents?
Comforting Jan
"Well I was very very uncomfortable with the bill," she said. [More]Well, shoot, Jan, if it makes you uncomfortable, just look the other way. No sense seeing other experience discomfort.
If things are so all-fired safe on AZ campuses, maybe you could explain the rationale behind this...?
If it doesn't make you too uncomfortable...?
Dustin's Gun Blog has more.
Because There's No Crime in DC
Charlie Sheen, the ex-sitcom star turned serial ranter, got an unusual assist from D.C. police Tuesday night as he hurried to DAR Constitution Hall for his nearly sold-out “Violent Torpedo of Truth: Defeat is Not an Option” stage performance. [More]Nice to see Capitol "Only Ones" on such good terms with a "prohibited person."
"Nearly sold-out"...? Who would spend money on this?
A Civil Dispute

And antis are quick to tell us all the places we don't need guns--here's one under total government control.

And the idiot antis want us to disarm.

Wonder if they're using any GunwalkerTM brand firearms...?

Gun Rights Examiner files appeal to ATF’s Grassley briefing response
Because ATF’s FOIA response was noncompliant with the request as well as its own rules, and because the Grassley reaction to the reply demonstrates we will not know what valuable information can be gleaned (and used to help eke out the truth) until we see what is released, an appeal was filed yesterday (see sidebar slide show). [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report tries one more time to get some basic information, noting the last attempt yielded results despite the best attempts by the government to not reveal anything.
Also see what's happening in the legislative chambers of the Pacific Northwest and watch yesterday's RTAmerica debate on open carry.

This Day in History: April 21
I have relinquished the idea of attempting a cooperation between the troops at Fort Pitt and the bodies moving from other quarters against the six nations. The difficulty of providing supplies in time – the want of satisfactory information of the routes and nature of the country up the Alleghany and between that and the Indian Settlemts – consequently the uncertainty of being able to cooperate to advantage, and the hazard which the smaller party might run for want of a cooperation are principal reasons for declining it: The danger to which the frontier would be exposed, by drawing off the troops from their present position, from the incursions of the more Western tribes is an additional, though a less powerful motive.
