After a beat down in an elevator, Joshua Daniel Ortiz ended up with his nose broken and facing a charge of battering a Fort Lauderdale police officer. It looks like the "Only Ones" figure--based on long experience and institutional acceptance of such conduct--that they can manhandle the other passengers, too. And they still feel they can lie even though there are witnesses, because we know whose word carries more weight.
The 22-year-old Sunrise man was surprised and delighted to learn Wednesday that Broward prosecutors were dropping the case against him after reviewing an elevator surveillance video showing three officers aggressively rush and beat Ortiz to the ground. [More]
If the video did not exist, the beating victim would also be deemed a criminal. Yet the criminal conduct here is obvious.
Whose Paranoid has more.

Sooner or later, a bunch of these animals are going to run into someone who's really up for the fight.
That's the way this must naturally go. Sooner or later.
Like Billy says....
Sooner or later these JBT's are going to try and assault some armed citizen, with the will to defend himself (or herself), and guess what....

Indeed. People will stop just watching and recording on their cell-phone cameras, like they did the Oscar Grant execution by the Bay Area Rapid Transit police. (And the cops started confiscating the phones, remember?) And the "Don't Tase me, bro" college student being shocked, and the Utah motorist Tasered for not signing a ticket he thought was false, and...
An angry mob is an ugly thing. But not the ugliest of things.
"...amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me..."
Sounds best on bagpipes. If you get my drift.
"Police first charged Ortiz with felony battery on a law enforcement officer."
Now that the tape has revealed the real felons, where are the commensurate felony charges for them? What? There aren't any?
Don't these idiots know that vests won't protect them from headshots?
Nobody's going to lose their job.
Nobody's going to face charges.
Nobody's going to make an issue out of this.
Even though the state tried to steal the freedom of a man whose only "crime" was in allowing himself three thugs to bruise their knuckles on him.
If these thugs are just a few bad apples then where are the felony charges for perjury, assault, false imprisonment, and kidnapping?
Remember LEO's, you are just as guilty as the bad apples when you aid and abet.
You will be judged to be the same as the worst among you that you tolerate.
The three cops are complete thugs, but the real CRIMINALS are those in the force and those in the DA's office who PROTECT scum like this. Thank goodness for these videos or another innocent person would be going to PRISON based on more LIES told by the thin blue LIE. If the state won't press charges against these lying goons, how about some FEDERAL civil rights charges? If Rodney King has rights, so does this guy.
