It's nice to live in Des Moines. I left this little jewel for the editorial board.
So Register editorial board, where is the blood in the streets we were promised? The shootouts over parking spaces and fender benders? Looks like you were wrong. people that go to the trouble to get trained and pass a background check are law abiding citizens. I've carried for years and have only drawn my weapon one time and never fired a shot. Pretty good record for 35 years. When things go bad I will be prepared. Just like the fact that I have a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit. I don't own those things because I intend to use them either.
The liberal idiot pisswits that are afraid of law abiding citizens should just go dig a hole somewhere, crawl in and pull it in after you. Fear of a inanimate object is something you should see a mental health professional about.
Right after the law changed I invited everyone on the board to a free day at the range. I offered to give them a short safety class and furnish all the guns and ammo to teach them to shoot. I'm still waiting for a answer.
Right after the 1st I am going to be sending in a letter to the editor bringing up the points about blood in the streets etc. Of course I expect a similar response to that one too.
