Let's be careful here. I looked at the MI DNR website and MI has a feral swine problem. We all sould be aware of how bad the feral swine problem is in places in the USA. Under the Federal Invasive Species Act certain type of swine are considered invasive. Michigan issued an order under the Invasive Species Act and gave certain farmers who were suspected of having these invasive species, six months to get rid of them. The question here is were these farmers raising invasive species in violation of the law? I'm NOT condoning the tactics of the MI DNR agents; they sound illegal and wrong. Just what is the WHOLE truth here?

Well, I would reckon - in my plain old country boy thinking - that feral animals are animals that live in the wild, breed in the wild and crowd out native species. least ways, that's what them fancy teachers taught us. and by definition, farmers would not be raising feral pigs. You only devote your energy and feeding resources to pigs that you can sell for food or to breed other pigs, maybe once in a while one for a pet. But you don't breed feral anythings.
this is just a case of the federal smegmasuckers sticking their shit-stained noses into the citizens' business instead of minding their own. so, yeah - they shot the wrong ones. Ain't nothin' more feral or worthless than feral gummint employees who think they have some authoritah!
