Yes, David, he did share his opinion. He made himself perfectly clear. He told the press he is a Statist and an opportunist. He and his deputies will do anything they can get away with doing.

Saying "I'm a hunter and I own a couple of guns, but..." is the same as saying, "I'll have mine, but you don't NEED to..."

His said his deputies "always follow the law" which means they will perform any abuse which the courts (and the public) will allow.

The Florida Sheriff's association the adds, paraphrasing here, "We have a duty to oppose any legislation which reduces our poewer over other people or makes us feel bad."

And (paraphrasing),

"We don't like it that some would view this anti-self-defense, thuggish, totalitarian approach as being anti-Second Amendment..."

Thank you Sheriff Gee and Florida Sheriff's association! You have made it perfectly clear on which side of the Liberty line you stand.
