The main advantage of forcing into the black market men who wish to build arsenals is that police get a chance of coming into contact with them. [More]Like Los Zetas in Mexico? Yeah, let's emulate that model!
Ol' Myron B. Pitts here writing for FayObserver.com isn't very observant.

The author noted that "a driver with a broken taillight can be stopped and searched by consent" for drugs.
The wise driver simply responds to the request for consent to search with "No. Am I free to go?" You do not need to demonstrate that you have nothing to hide. Why would you want to be there any longer than necessary?

Pitts hasn't a clue as to how easy it is to make a gun, with a couple of practice units, I could build three to five submachine guns every weekend, more if I did it all seven days in a week.
In the theater setting, any sub gun would have been equally effective, lighter, and more rounds can be carry in the same space.
I don't advocate, naturally, teaching Pitts anything, that would be a waste.
I do advocate telling a simple, forceful, NO.
