Every time the antis start talking about what's "reasonable" or "common sense," prepare to hear agenda-driven insanity. [Read]

This is who they went to? They must really be desperate. This guy is a nutcase. He claims his organization has millions upon millions of members (I can't recall the number). His idea of reasonable is for every city to be like Chitcago. No thanks.

What is "reasonable" or "common sense" can be very much a cultural thing. For example, the television shows "The Munsters", "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Bewitched" poked fun at convention by turning normalcy on its' head. If you visit a nude beach or nudist colony on a warm summer day you may soon realize that you are completely over-dressed if you wear much more than a large, floppy hat. Many compare European gun laws to those in the United States, but are unwilling to accept the bare skinned, topless sunbathing practiced in European city parks. State supported religious institutions are prevalent in many countries. In many cultures political speech opposing the government or the government supported religion is restricted by law.

As you may be aware, or not, we do things differently here, and what some consider "reasonable" and "common sense" among us and elsewhere is abhorred by many of us. We are free to practice the religion of our choice, or not. We are free to tell our government officials their deficiencies. We are free to arm ourselves to defend ourselves and our families (at least in most areas) or not. That is what we consider "reasonable" and "common sense". If you do not agree with that, then you are being "unreasonable" and lack "common sense". Do not presume to make decisions for us and for me in particular to enhance your own perceptions of well-being. That is not freedom. If this makes you uncomfortable, I can recommend some excellent psychological counselors to help you with your irrational fears and your control issues, and to adjust your perceptions of "common sense". At the end of the day, if your peace is disturbed, then that is your issue, not mine, and not of our society.

Have a nice day, and be well!
