Here's a perfect case to use for the idea of liberalizing gun laws.

If these "prohibited persons" have possessed the guns for a decent period of time, and have committed no crimes...then the evidence show that the idea of allowing felons to regain their rights has merit.

Or...how about....an automatic renewal of rights....if its legal for felons to own weapons after prison, the NICS check would only be needed for the dangerously mentally ill. And if you're that dangerous, why are you out of the hospital?
