A 16-year-old Cypress Lake High School student, who wrestled a loaded revolver away from a teen threatening to shoot, is being punished. [More]That's one hell of a lesson these "educators" are teaching young people.
I'm just surprised the "Authorized Journalist" reporting this didn't call the hero kid a "vigilante."

An RG, huh? I haven't seen one of those POS revolvers for a long, long time. My cousin used to keep one in his glove compartment in 1960s Georgia, where it was legal. He had the first chamber loaded with a blank (to scare the BG), the next with a .22 short, the one after that with a .22 long, then a .22 LR solid, until he worked his way up to the "big" stuff, .22 LR hollowpoints. Not recommended - though an NC detective did tell me that he'd seen a 350 pound 6'6" man who had dropped dead like a sack of potatoes after his female murderer shot him once in the lowest part of the pelvis (if you know what I mean) with a .22 short. The little slug ricocheted and stopped in his heart. So even the lowly .22 short is not to be trifled with!
I hope his family sues the school district into bankruptcy.
I also hope parents pull their kids outta that school district.
Of course they suspended him. He attacked a member of the football team
