I've received similar responses when discussing abortion, Koch brothers/George Soros and/or gun control with liberals.
I like to wish 'em a long happy life, surrounded by family and friends who love 'em right back. Usually I get private messages back calling me a scumbag for trying to make them feel rotten. That makes me grin.
I always thought a proper gun conversation would go something like this:
"Cool! What kind of AR is that?"
"Del-Ton"
".223?"
"5.56"
"Nice Magpul furniture on it."
And so on.
