Campaign to shame Kroger ignores real dangers

Put another way, MDA may as well ask why anyone needs a gun at a supermarket. Shall we take a moment to give that a cursory glance? [More]
My latest JPFO Alert notes bad guys eat, too.

MILMs' strategy is right out in the open now. "we don't want guns in schools, bars, restaurants, stadiums, heck, we don't want guns anywhere you might like to go with your gun. And once we accomplish that, what's the point of letting you carry in your car?

Then CCers can just content themselves with paying hundreds of dollars for the permits the NRA wants them to have to buy, in order to carry in the only place MDA is willing to leave to them, their own homes.

In MI, you need a CPL or LEO creds to carry in a facility that holds a liquor license, even if they don't actually sell alcohol. The exception is 'with the permission of the owner or the owner's representative'. Meijer supermarkets have a corporate policy of 'yes you can'. If Kroger adopts the attitude of Panera in 'please don't', then you definitely won't be able to open carry in MI Krogers without a license.

Any attempt to liberalize CPL in MI to bring it closer to alignment to the typical 'shall issue' states will be met with a veto from their anti gun Republican governor.
