See, I'm not celebrating this shift in memes that we're going to see more of-- because if "they" can "justify" disarming cops, that means we're going to be a major step closer to having to settle things the hard way, and that's something no sane person looks forward to.

But dis-arming the cops is something we need to talk about doing.
Let the cops call for help from among the armed citizens around them.

It is, isn't it? Thanks for putting succinctly exactly what a farcical charade it has become.
I have to agree with Scott. Cops are government employees and carry weapons with the permission of citizens. We need more armed citizens and fewer armed government employees.
