At least they admitted "Missouri’s current statute outlines a reasonable and prudent process," which, if you think about it, can be exploited in "may issue" locales, especially as a counter to the nauseatingly ubiquitous "commonsense."

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
I fully believe in and support the 1st Amendment ... even while recognizing that the amendment is immediately followed by a period which should make its intent fully apparent ... BUT, commonsense dictates that churches should be required to pay federal, state, and municipal corporate income taxes and all applicable municipal, county (parish) state and federal property taxes.
However, I promise to stay out of the churches' business if they promised to stay out of mine.

“Gabriel Possenti?” As in the “patron saint of shooters?” Sorry, Dave, I think you’ve been snookered.
Um...no... I added a linked caption for a reason. Look at the bishop's hand.
And point of order...
If you to see a really stupid illustration, check out the Mother Jones article on St. Gabriel:

OK, given that everybody agrees that the newspaper article is a fake, such a presentation just makes it hard to figure out what part of the text (if any) is truthful reporting and what part is a joke.
I made it. Obviously it didn't work for you. That's OK, because it worked for me and any given post may leave some wondering WTF. If you still don't grok what I was doing and why, no big deal, move on to the next one.
