And I think the loudest anti-gun rhetoric comes from those who have never been around firearms.
Too often those who presume to teach don't even belong in the class without some prerequisites.

Notice he did not say "never OWNED firearms." These phobics overwhelmingly have never been around guns; thus, they fear guns in their proximity. And by extension, those who keep and bear them.

This statement shows an increasing understanding of the situation:

"For me, proximity created familiarity, which ultimately led to greater understanding."
