He was arrested because the UConn copthugs know the political likes and dislikes of their employers. That's why they rudely used Mr. Wintrich's body as if it were nothing more than a ram with which to shove the door open.
In future adventures in that bizarre Wonderland that is contemporary academia, Mr. Wintrich should bring along his lawyer, and armed security equipped with bodycams.
