Seems to me like good enough reason to hold them without bail and delay the trials for a couple of years.
But I'm not a Black-Robed Copsucker. Those unfortunately unrare birds believe that the defendants' "years of public service" (AKA feeding at the taxpayers' trough) are more valuable than any amount of bail.
