So Much for 'For the Children'

Lisette Johnson, a Richmond resident and a survivor of domestic gun violence who advocates with Everytown for Gun Safety, said the photos of people gathering at the Capitol with firearms triggered traumatic memories of her own assault, when her husband shot her in front of her children in 2009. (Her husband, Marshall E. Johnson, took his own life that day, police said.) [More]
So according to this account, she "was in the process of ending the relationship after years of described abuse"...?

"Years"?

So she knew full well he was violent but she nevertheless left her children in that dangerous situation rather than doing the responsible, adult and parental thing of getting them away from him? And her "solution" is to make the rest of us vulnerable?

Forgive me for having conflicted sympathy.

If you don’t like it, snowflake, call a cop.
Oh, wait, that would trigger you, too.
If you’re that unable to cope, consider voluntary institutionalization.
