Didn't Sen. Manchin pull a stunt something like that? Went over about as well as Dukaka riding in that tank. I'm surprised Schumer and Kerry never thought of shooting a bill to show their 'support' for the Second.
If there's one best reason for DJT being in the White House, I suspect it would be American voters starting to expect results, not theatrics, from their politicians.
You would think that someone would have noticed that each and every 'old school' major party candidate lost in 2016.
I don't pay a whole lot of attention to Jimmy Carter's speeches, but here's one of his quotes I like:

Substitute 'Second Amendment supporter' for 'Christian' and ask yourself if shooting a copy of a bill would be enough.
