Synchronicity

President Trump’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has revised its guidance of critical infrastructure to include the firearms industry as part of the Essential Critical Infrastructure. This revision comes shortly after Gun Owners of America (GOA) and Gun Owners of California (GOC) sent a letter to the administration urging inclusion of the firearms industry. [More]

And it also comes a bit over a week after this:
The president doesn’t shy away from issuing executive actions on guns when they serve his purposes and he is depending on gun owners to be reelected in November. It would be more than appropriate if he ordered Homeland Security to recognize the need of the people to lawfully obtain guns during national emergencies to the point that a disruption in supply “would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or any combination thereof.”
Do it, Mr. President.
Unless it's all been just words and the Second Amendment is now officially deemed “non-essential.”

Some important questions are being left out of the discussion.

Q: Essential to whom?

A: Obviously, essential to those who wish to be in charge.

That leads to the next question.

Q: Do the American people want to be in charge?

A: Sadly, I believe in many if not most cases, no they don't, at least not in the areas that matter.
