That's certainly the longterm impossible dream, as misguided as the notion that the Second Amendment and the right to keep and bears arms are synonymous is.
And as someone once said, wishing and doing are two different things.

There are a whole bunch of people, including the current occupant(s) of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, who completely misunderstand the link between The Second Amendment, and the Right to Keep and Bear Arms that it mentions.
Much like they misunderstand the real significance of the first Thanksgiving, the real significance of the battles of Lexington and Concord, and the meaning of "shall not be infringed."
It isn't entirely their fault. Our school systems make a point to teach politically correct but historically inaccurate myths instead of history.
