In other words, they're signaling their predetermined intent to "justify" continuing and expanding the "gun control" edict they managed to pass as a direct result of their clearing the way for guns to walk to Mexico.
That means the timing of the cartel-arming noise from DEA is hardly coincidental.
I'm kind of wondering why I haven't gotten an urgent alert spreading the news and soliciting participation from groups that ask for money so they can lead gun owners in the defense of our rights.

This is not a change in ATF policy, only in the means of collecting information that they are already collecting by adding an electronic platform to the paper forms that dealers are required to submit. That is likely why 2A groups are not getting involved. I think it likely that comments aimed at the policy itself will be ignored. As for myself, I believe ATF should be a party store, not a USG agency. But it's going to grow even larger and more intrusive under the Biden administration.
Is it just me or do others see a pattern where the GOP is all about "protecting" the Second Amendment, but say very little about restoring it? And then when they get the power to actually do something, they do neither?
DDS- During the first two years of Trump's term, reciprocity had passed the House. It got to the Senate, and Mitch McConnell said, "Now is not the time". And then we lost the House, etc.
