A Matter of Protocol

Our inboxes are overflowing with emails from Republican Legislators asking for money and votes in the coming elections. [More]

Having never been to one I have a question: Are you supposed to pay whores in advance or after receiving services? I'd like to know if I'm going to have a happy ending or if I'm going to get screwed.

I'd guess the whore would be out the door as you turn 'round; no happy endings here.

In this case, we're talking about whores who don't put out.

Did Obamacare get repealed? That's what they promised us in exchange for our money last time.

Did any gun control laws get repealed the last time they controlled Congress and the Presidency? After all, these mendicants tend to claim support for the Second Amendment and brandish their NRA endorsements like battle flags during campaign season.

So perhaps the real question should not be whether you should pay a whore before or after you get your "happy ending."

We probably should shift to asking ourselves if Charlie Brown is dumb enough to trust Lucy to hold the football yet again.

Here's a thought. Print out the beggar's email. Attach it to a copy of Mr. Codrea's questionnaire. Make a polite cover letter explaining that you're tired of contributing your hard earned money in exchange for empty promises. Tell them you'll gladly send them something in exchange for the return of the properly filled out questionnaire. Send the package with an SASE to their main campaign headquarters.

Chances are pretty good you won't receive a reply. But if you do, forward the completed questionnaire to Mr. Codrea.
