If I were this guy's lawyer, I'd quit. His ego won't let him just shut up and let that "process" he's talking about get handled by people who know how.
Actually, the same goes for his publicist. The Splenda story is just bizarre (as is the handful of Instagram idol worshippers believing he is worthy of sucking up to).

But we've always known what Baldwin's self-image was, this is not news.
The way this story was reported locally (Portland, OR), Baldwin says he's complying, and authorities are still "working on" getting warrants for his phone, texts, social media posts, etc.
I don't like the guy, but if he hasn't yet been served with a warrant, he's under no obligation to surrender his phone.
Then again, take that with a grain of salt; the media has been fully on his side and running cover for him since Day 1.
