What if Gun Owners Played by Alcee Hastings' Rules?
This Day in History: March 21
To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead, or endeavoring to convert an atheist by scripture. Enjoy, sir, your insensibility of feeling and reflecting. It is the prerogative of animals. And no man will envy you these honors, in which a savage only can be your rival and a bear your master. GRE Round Up for Mar. 20
There's some good stuff being turned out. I hope you're availing yourself of it, and importantly, sharing these links via emails, on blogs and forums, with your local newspaper editor, etc.
A common complaint is media bias and absence of representation for "our side."
These people work hard to change that and ask for nothing from those of us their labors serve other than to help spread the word. I hope no one thinks that's too much to ask.

We're the Only Ones Displaying Naked Power Enough
He will station more than 40 officers on the traditional four-block route tonight, with two SWAT teams patrolling nearby. All have orders to arrest gourd-topped streakers as sex offenders. [More]Just in case anybody wants to rob a bank or a liquor store on the other side of town...
Glad to see they have the resources for this. The economy must be pretty good there.
These people are out of their gourds.

An Empty Ruling
A federal judge has ruled that Tarrant County College violated the First Amendment rights of two students when it prohibited their attempts to stage empty-holster protests last fall. [More]A judge worth his oath of office would rule their Second Amendment rights violated if anyone in an official capacity tried to prevent them from staging a full-holster protest.

We're the Only Ones Getting a Custom Finish Enough
An internal investigation is under way at the Salisbury Police Department after an inmate found a loaded handgun inside a police vehicle being painted at Piedmont Correctional Institution. [More]They're lucky it was found by a disgusting coward. You know, the one they're calling "heroic."
I'm thinking he committed a felony just by touching it.
What do Mexican Police Magic Rituals Have to Do with 'Gun Control'?
If I want to practice sorcery, I'll rummage through the attic and see if I can find that old Marshal Brodien TV Magic Cards deck. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column explores the Black Arts.
Hey, I know how this trick is done...
Listen, if closing your eyes, chanting and willing the url for this over to your friends doesn't work, how about just sending it to them through more conventional means...?

We're the Only Ones "Book 'em, Danno" Enough
Police say Allison Moore has been indicted with seven counts of promoting a dangerous drug, seven counts of evidence tampering, seven counts of forgery, as well as attempted theft and fixing tickets. [More]No doubt just one of those few bad pineapples...

A Modest Proposal
After disbanding their police department, Pewaukee officials are trying to find out why 58,000 rounds of ammunition were left and what they should do with it. [More]I don't suppose you guys have any of those "who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people" types who could put it to good use...?

Police say they can't explain why Singh, 35, was shot in the abdomen early Wednesday even after complying with the gunman's instructions to hand over his register's cash in a bag.
"He didn't put up a struggle at all," said homicide Detective Jeff Cowdrey. "He did what he was supposed to do and got shot for it." [More]
Indeed. As the King of Siam would say, "Is a Puzzlement."

Down for the Count?
Two scholars say in a new research paper that despite earlier denials, the Census Bureau was deeply involved in the roundup and internment of Japanese Americans at the onset of U.S. entry into World War II. [More]Just yesterday I got the idea for either a book or a screenplay. Here's the gist of it: it's an alternate history, along the lines of MacKinlay Kantor's "If the South Had Won the Civil War."
In my scenario, WWII is going badly for the Allies. America is beginning to experience the inability to feed its own population. It has no resources to send to feed or otherwise care for the Japanese-American internment camp prisoners, and will not just turn them loose back into the general population.
What "solutions" do we think could have developed under those circumstances?
Eh, another fantasy I'll probably never have time to give a second look to...I don't see where anyone else has developed this idea though--correct me if I'm wrong on that.
