Disappearing Act

Dozens of parolees, including one imprisoned for his part in a 2008 murder, have disappeared after they were set free as part of a secret early release program...[More]
The E*Trade Baby wants to show you his shocked face:

Good ol' Illinois! Maybe if they enacted even more "gun control"...

For A Good Cause

One commissioner has expressed concern about spending public money on a private entity, but Selvage said the money was collected legitimately and for a good cause. [More]
If that's not the oldest trick in the tyranny playbook...

When they feel comfortable enough to drop all "public safety" pretexts to cover their armed robbery scam, you know it still works, though.

We're the Only Ones Environmentally Pro-Active Enough

In March, the county police director revoked Vecin's control of a $5 million fund intended to fight environmental crime. Instead, the money was used to buy items such as assault rifles, expensive sunglasses, flat-screen TVs and sport utility vehicles. [More]
What else would we expect considering the "Only Ones" environment he found himself in?

At least he didn't disrupt any turtle nests.

We're the Only Ones Innocently Explaining Enough

His attorney says there's "an innocent explanation" to the allegations. [More]
Yeah, every time I fake accident reports to get reimbursed for unused Def Leppard tickets I'm amazed at how that's misunderstood.

Ditto for stealing my neighbor's tractor.

Nice to see I'm not the "Only One."

Mr. Spox

The Intergalactic Chessmaster as imagined by the Fifty Caliber Institute:
Wait until all of the facts are in; watch how NRA's "Mister Spock" (Chris Cox) moves the various pieces on the political game board we call Congress.
Good grief. They're serious.

Being one of "those people [they] don't consider mainstream Americans," this hardly surprises me.

You know, someone who doesn't consider this a game at all.

Someone who looks at a ridiculous statement like this...

The stakes are high - nothing less than the ultimate survival of American freedom is at stake.
...and realizes they don't have a clue if they seriously think this will be over once pawns like themselves have been removed from the board.

Also: Vanderboegh serves up a steaming platter of Gagh.

Why should 'disturbing' turtles result in lifetime gun ban?

If convicted of a felony, the privacy-yearning Ms. Schultz will have more than that stripped from her. She will also be, by federal law, a "prohibited person," forbidden to own a gun. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column compares the value of your life against that of a turtle. According to the government, you come up short.

Also scream at a genocide documentary that advocates a monopoly of violence, and wait with the rest of us as we anticipate Master telling us what we can talk about and when.

Washington decided to give his men another day’s rest and, meantime, to hold a council of war at 9 o’clock on the 24th , in complete defiance of an eclipse of the sun. [More]

The militia "loophole"

Of course, if I own the organization, I just certify myself. [More]
If it's not legally defined, why not? Here--you have as much right to present this to yourself as anyone:

And how about this exemption?
(1) Section 2 does not apply to any of the following: (d) The national guard, armed forces reserves, or other duly authorized military organization.
Is US Code "authorized" enough?

We're the Only Ones Going Clubbing Enough

Y'know, if the "perp" had just not argued and acted subserviently, this may never have happened.

Yes, I know you don't automatically start clubbing people who argue with you, but that's different, and no, it would NOT have been the same if he'd been the one administering the beat-down.

Why?

Well, for one thing, not being an "Only One," he doesn't have a department protocol.

We're the Only Ones Well-Staffed Enough

NYPD sources said that, henceforth, a member of the Headquarters Security Division will be stationed outside the property clerk's office and near the elevators on the ground level. [More]
That's some "tightly-secured headquarters."

So how many hundreds of thousands of dollars will this new "solution" cost? Still, I guess it's a lot safer than using the manpower resources to..you know...chase after bad guys...

[Via Harvey]

Damned American gun shows...

Among the weapons seized were more than 230 long and short guns, 60 grenades and rocket launchers, as well as trucks and communication equipment.[More]
So that's why all those unlicensed dealers have been raising their grenade prices on me...y'know, if we would only enact a domestic ban on semi-autos, deserting members of the Mexican military and police would fall right into line.

The definition of insanity

Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley defended the city's handgun ban Tuesday after a spate of shootings that left 10 people dead and dozens wounded, saying the violence bolsters the city's argument that the 1982 ordinance is needed. [More]

As an aside, can they just redefine terms like that...?

Forget it, Jake...

Panel divided on keeping all remaining jailed Hutaree behind bars

Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at the latest development in a convoluted case.

Northbound

"The danger is out there, with all the weapons being found coming northbound…. someone needs to know about this!” [More]
So our biggest problem ain't that southbound "flow"...?

Never Volunteer

I know they say that, but after the comment left on Sunday's GRE by anonymous bad boy "Karl" I just couldn't help myself.
