Stolen gun report a sign of things to come from Obama’s second term
Obama’s need to keep things under the radar is no more. Now it’s time for building that transformational “legacy” pundits were talking about Tuesday night, and also, because he perceives the momentum is on his side, time for one other thing. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report asks "Did somebody say 'revenge'?"
We're the Only Ones Losing Enough
Retired officer's service weapon stolen [More]If he's retired, how can it be a "service weapon"? In whose service?
Reserve cop loses his car, badge and gun to thief-arsonist [More]They don't say if the gun was in a locked container. Does that apply to "Only Ones"?

Behold, a God who Bleeds
NRA spent $17 million on election, lost...NRA failed to get bang for its bucks...National Rifle Association shut out on Election Day...NRA shoots blanks this election...NRA also lost big on Election Day...The NRA Got Its Clock Cleaned On Election Day...[More]Told ya. And they aren't wasting any time.
Look for this to embolden for more attacks.
Count on it.
Remeber, Remeber

Aside from the opportunity to poke a little fun at the type of human error I'm also guilty of at times, the link actually is significant. I'm going to get to work right now on an article to explain why I think this is so ominous.
In Other Words, Because He's a Typical Establishment Republican
Romney lost because he refused to provide an alternative to any of this for fear of being labelled a warmonger, flint-heart or social reactionary. He refused to engage with any of the issues that made this Presidential election so truly momentous. Up against the bullying of the totalitarian left, he ran for cover. He played safe, and as a result only advertised his own weakness and dishonesty. Well, voters can smell inconsistency from a mile away; they call it untrustworthiness, and they are right. [More]Ayup:
So Romney pursued a tepid and uninspiring strategy easy for attack by the left, which conversely played a brilliantly dirty game by ginning up resentment many in the Democrat base feel toward “the rich” in general and Northeast capital investment elites in particular. It also meant Romney ducked addressing red meat visceral issues that would put fire in the belly of supporters—while many felt obliged to hold their noses and vote for him as the "lesser evil," that did not, and could not, translate into the type of enthusiastic commitments needed to win a championship.
Adam's Rib Redux
Remember that scene at the end when Spencer Tracy showed Katherine Hepburn men can turn on the waterworks to manipulate people to their advantage just as well as women can? [More]
This Day in History: November 9
The battle of Fish Dam Ford is historically significant not only because it was a Revolutionary War battle, but because it was one of several battles during the campaign of 1780 in the upcountry that led to the British being driven out of the area leading to the ultimate surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown, Virginia. Holder exit would empty tank on Fast and Furious investigation
Once Holder is gone, so will go any chance for political gain, plus Republicans know they’d be painted as bullies in some corners and racists in others if they dared go after him (some have been doing that all along). It just wouldn’t be worth it to them, especially since a reinvigorated Obama is confident that should the trail get too close he retains the pardon option, knowing the media and constituency that returned him to power would back him to the hilt. [More]Today's second Gun Rights Examiner offering looks at a great escape in the making.
BenghaziGate
Good God Almighty! Did Obama And CIA Arm Terrorists Who Murdered Our Ambassador? [More]Probably. John Boehner and Mitch McConnell will get right on it.
Obama victory diminishes chances to determine whole Fast and Furious truth
The only thing that had even a chance of altering that equation was a Romney win, and that’s presupposing his handlers would have then allowed him to revoke Obama’s executive privilege and order cooperation with Congressional investigations from every involved department in his administration. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner election postmortem faces an outrageous and painful reality. No one wishes more than me it were not so. It is what it is.
About Those UN Treaties
Received via email in response to yesterday's GRE column:
Sure, if our "leaders" are inclined to observe the Constitution. Since when? They have been doing what they want all along and feel nothing but emboldened now, and the media will be backing them up every step of the way.
See the link I have at the end of my column about "Researchers." I put those there for a reason.
And bear in mind I specifically made a point to write: "But at this point, the likelihood of the treaty's passage is not the story" and then went on to explain what is.
My column isn't so much about the ATT as it is about a storm heading our way due to a "more flexible" willingness to exercise power by an arrogant ruler bent on revenge and now feeling unrestrained.
It's wonderful to see forums discussing this. Just be careful to sort the hip shot opinions from the painstaking research.
David,
RE: A likely UN gun treaty, isn't this true regarding implementation and enforcement?
"It's good to remember that:
1. Any treaty must be approved by a two-thirds vote of the Senate before the Presidentere's signature becomes effective.
2. Treaties (especially UN treaties) are not self-enforcing. They do not become law within a nation. To be enforced within the US a statute would have to be passed.
3. Treaties do not alter the Constitution. Both the House and the Senate would have to pass a bill for a statute which enforces the treaty to become law.
4. Because the treaty would not alter the Constitution, any statute passed for the purpose of enforcing it must comply with the Constitution and the Amendments to the Constitution."
There's a thread on Obama's gun control putsch here: http://www.theakforum.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=187345&start=50

Jackals Beginning to Circle
Now it's the media's responsibility to stop portraying them as an invincible electoral juggernaut. [More]There's a seemingly contradicting meme pincer strategy being deployed here, because you'll see others on the left still protesting that the Democrats won't touch guns because of what happened politically decades back. Be aware of it and you'll start to see this more and more.
Behold, a god who bleeds.
From the Halls of Higher Learning
One of the women shared a class on vampires with Street. The other knew Pitts from an African-American dance class. [More]Alrighty, then...
So if they don't make the pros, I'm sure they'll become valuable contributing members to a "21st-Century global economy"...
For the Children
Public libraries, regrettably, are not listed. They should be. For generations, libraries have drawn children and teens, often without parents. Public libraries should be treated the same way the state treats schools and day care centers. [More]You know, like slaughterhouses...

Victorious Obama rockets back onto ‘gun control’ radar with UN arms treaty
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes that was quick. This isn't even the column I wanted to write today, but it kind of shoved its way to the front of the pile.More likely this is an in-your-face to “the gun lobby,” and a bellwether for things to come—all those things anti-gun opinion shapers ridiculed as paranoia back when that served the agenda. Look for them now to ignore past protestations and focus on whatever “gun control” proposals the administration puts forward, be they bills the president will want Congress to advance or, barring that, whatever he thinks he can get away with by executive order or ATF ruling. I have to say, Republican "leadership" like this deserves every loss it can be made to suffer. [Read]
John [he puts the "eh" in] Boner has been the despicable and useless poltroon who ran interference for the administration on Gunwalker, too. The only explanation that makes sense, aside from being in the tank from the beginning, is Mike's theory about photos with Dolly the Love Ewe.
