J'Accuse…!

The following companies and/or their decision makers have instituted anti-firearm corporate policy or have pressed lawmakers to enact further strict legislation. [More]

I have the same problem with this I had with the old "NRA Blacklist": What exactly did those being accused do? For this to be useful, each entry should explain or link to documentation of the offense.

That and I see plenty not on here who deserve to be. Case in point... And let's not forget who gun owners brag they go to in lieu of Levis: they've still never explained that one.

I don't ask anything from the listmaker that I don't hold myself to. If I say so-and-so did something, I prove it. Without doing that, I'm having a hard time distinguishing this logically and morally from what I'd expect from a mob, where somebody yells out an accusation and everybody runs for a rope.

You can do better, CCRKBA.

Settled Science

Firearm violence occurred more frequently in US cities in 2020 compared with previous years.1 Two major events of 2020 may explain this increase: enactment of containment policies to reduce the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and a national reckoning with systemic racism, including widespread protests sparked by the police killing of George Floyd.1 This study evaluated independent associations between COVID-19 containment policies and the killing of George Floyd on firearm violence in one US city, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. [More]

I know the number I've shot has gone through the roof. How about you?

Funny, though. No cites to support the "systemic racism" claim...

Ah, well. It's not as if JAMA has shown itself to be that big of a stickler for proofs.

The Continuing Crisis

That’s not to say that any have been proved. They’ve barely been investigated, whether at the federal or state level, in the courts, or by the media. For it’s quite clear that most of the people who really run America don’t want to know what really happened. More to the point, they don’t want you to know ...  Irregularities that our own State Department considers sufficient proof to declare third-world elections fraudulent are, here at home, not even enough to quality as “evidence.” [More]
