The Latest Frame Job

On May 7, 2021, the Attorney General signed ATF proposed rule 2021R-05, Definition of “Frame or Receiver” and Identification of Firearms. The goal of the proposed rule is to ensure the proper marking, recordkeeping, and traceability of all firearms manufactured, imported, acquired and disposed by federal firearms licensees. [More]

After it's published in the Federal Register it will be posted at Regulations.gov for a 90-day "comments" period, as if their minds aren't already made up. In the meantime, here's the beast in question:

Don't Be a Don't Bee

Samantha Bee Wants to ‘Take Your Guns’ [More]

Samantha Bee is a foreign enemy here under the impossible pretense of "dual citizenship" so that she could reap superior economic benefits while undermining the security of a free state.

The Politics of Personal Destruction

What exactly did Nearman do to bring down the full force of the left? Mike opened a locked door to the Capitol Building …and walked outside. [More]

Oregon Firearms Federation presents a tale of in-your-face persecution and double standards that deserves to be shared far and wide.

Still a Ways to Go

‘Do Not Rely On The Government To Protect You’: Black Gun Ownership Is Soaring, Here’s Why [More]

If we are to believe the DSM, it's to protect themselves against "systemic racism," even though that's not how their DGUs play out.

Show me a mass exodus from the Democrats and I'll be impressed.

We're the Only Ones for the Children Enough

Trooper Charged With Rape Of 11-Year-Old Girl Landed His Job After FBI Ouster Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations [More]

Some monstrous violations can make you rethink public crucifixion as a proportional deterrent. That poor little victim will be damaged for life.

Good thing this will all be the new normal in a few years and relics like me can be cast out as haters.

Southern Comfort

South Carolina Senate Passes Open Carry Bill [More]

Herschel breaks things down for us. And there are still some procedural matters to iron out and a governor's signature to obtain.

You're On Your Own

“Property owners are considering the creation of a State Street Association that would hire private security guards to address the homeless situation downtown. [More]

I know State Street well. Santa Barbara was a frequent destination for me in the early Eighties. What a jewel it was and still could be. It's beyond a shame to see this happen, but they've done it to themselves.

And don't count on NRA's A-rated citizen disarmament enforcer to allow non-"Only Ones" to defend themselves.

Removing a Redundant Prior Restraint

House approves bill doing away with purchase permits to buy handgun ...The sheriff’s association says the permit system is now obsolete because of a national background check database. [More]

The Most Important Qualification

Jones repeatedly asserted during the debate that his experience as a Black man made him more suited for the job of helping Virginia move forward from its racist history. [More]

Funny, I don't see that on the list...

Matter of Fact

50 facts about guns in America [More]

Just a cursory glance through some of these makes me wonder if I could find more than 50 disputes with how they're either describing things or leaving out relevant information.

Infantile Arguments

But the historical record demonstrates that the founding generation would have regarded those under 21 as infants who did not have an individual right to keep and bear arms...[More]

What do you, think Tench?

And forget U.S. Code.

Funny-- these are the same lying sacks whose senator wants "infants" to vote.

Bearing Arms has more.

Blast from the Past

Our friends at MomAtArms remind us that the first impulse self-preserving political trough-feeders have is to protect their precious hindquarters, and if that means constituent disarmament, the historical precedent is there. [More]

I remember that particular historical precedent well. I included it with a list of other infringements an unidentified politician supported and asked readers what they thought of him. Over 75% considered him a traitor.

I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that some got mad at me and tried to make excuses when I told them who he was. I'm also not surprised to see so many gun owners still revere the guy.

But wait, as late TV pitchman Billy Mays used to say, there's more!

Trump-Rejecting Republican Has Plan to Drive Gun Owners from GOP

Are Republicans really stupid enough to believe they can take the fire out of the bellies of their core constituents and give the Democrats everything they demand? And still not be ruthlessly attacked as “extreme”? [More]

With "Republicans" like this weasel, who needs Democrats?

We're the Only Ones Problematic Enough

So Much for #BelieveWomen

“The Women of New York and this Country see through your lies…We are coming for you and the rest of our Governor’s accusers….We won’t let you get away with this…Just know that.” [More]

Gosh, it's almost like Democrats have hypocritical double standards or something...

A Colorado Democrat Official

"We used to hang people from gas stations. We used to cut off their heads. We don't have to actually cut heads. We just have to say that we're willing to cut off heads. You know what I'm saying? Nobody wants a slicey boi. Nobody wants one of those." [More]

You sound pretty sure of that, swine.

No wonder Colorado Democrats demand citizen disarmament in their platform

So: Why haven't they taken it on themselves to enforce their Code of Conduct?

A Good First Step

Texas Senate approves permitless carry bill - The bill would allow eligible Texans to carry handguns openly or concealed without a license. [More]

There'll be some finagling to match versions, but it should be on its way to the Governor soon.

Not to nitpick or anything, but the way this report is worded makes me wonder if out-of-state visitors will enjoy equal privileges and immunities? And when will state-mandated "gun-free zones" be eliminated, making it true Constitutional Carry?

Hey, be like the antis. Take a win and then press for more.

Boy, Sen. Sarah Eckhardt (D-Austin) sure is a f*****g liar, isn't she?

Remember when Democrat Governor Ann Richards wouldn't let Texans vote on concealed carry? Celebrate the win, but don't be so sure those days are behind us.

UPDATE: Texas GOA says "Don't celebrate yet."
