About That "Gun Show Loophole"...

Michael “White Boy” Lewis and Troy Burke were indicted on federal conspiracy and weapons charges earlier this month, court papers show. They are accused of stealing at least 60 guns from Virginia gun shops and selling them to couriers, who in turn sold them on D.C.’s streets.

Criminals prefer to steal instead of buy? You're kidding... I thought in Virginia they got all their guns at gun shows.

Wait...wait...I've got it...the Robbery Victim Loophole...

Robbery Victim Loophole

Ooooo, I like that - I might just have to steal it...

Yeah, it is obvious that a law requiring gun owners to report theft would have prevented this loophole from being exploited.

Better yet, how about not allowing folks to keep guns at home, thus at risk of being stolen?

but they only stole them because they were poor, some redistribution of wealth could have stopped them from a life of crime.

I think this is another case of "where was the ATF?" Just wish I could remember who was blogging that.
