I thought "robbing and kidnapp(ing) drug dealers" was the whole point to the "War on (some) Drugs". I guess they were putting in unapproved overtime.
Maybe we should close the NYPD loophole.

well, if they were convicted drug dealers, then they already were sentenced to the appropriate punishment, and this is a crime.
and, if they were not convicted drug dealers, then at most they were suspected drug dealers, and this is a crime.
i'm willing to bet that these two thoughts never occurred to these lowlives. actually, i take that back, i'm more willing to bet that they had some dim idea of this, and then did it anyways.
what a minute, what am i thinking? sentenced appropriately? does that still happen? ever? how swiftly we descend from the rule of law to the rule of man.
