This is a placeholder for now because I have not had ads on this blog for years. In case I ever start up again, this will be the policy in effect:
The FTC has some fool nonsense rules about ads on blogs or some such and presumes authority over the First Amendment to compel the unfunded mandate that we who earn ad revenues make some kind of disclosure so you don't think we're getting paid to say nice things about people or God knows what, meaning they must think you're stupid, too. I have had a few ads on this site in the past and may do so again if I think it's worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn't buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don't mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now--you're not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer.
About "The Only Ones"
The purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they're involved in gun-related incidents.
Comment House Rules
Keep them on topic. No spam. No threats against anyone except me. Do not feed trolls--I'll take out the trash. Try to keep it clean. I'm the final arbiter. If you don't like the rules, start your own damn blog.
Link Policy
WarOnGuns reciprocates links with liberty-oriented sites promoting the right to keep and bear arms for all peaceable individuals. If you have linked to me and don't see your site below, it's probably just because I haven't noticed it yet. Shoot me an email via the "Contact Form" (see above in this sidebar) if you want to fix that.
As a general rule I remove links for blogs that have been inactive for over one year.
What a dolt! As usual, a liberal chowderhead with no understanding of responsibility and a pre-determined agenda deems himself the proper 'tool' to dispense truth to the masses. He's not dreaming, he's hallucinating.
Or perhaps I did harbor some deep, shameful lust for weaponry - not from the Boy Scouts, but from video games. Truth be told, I'm a video game freak. I refuse to buy a PS3 or Xbox for my home for fear that it might ruin my life. I think I would cease to accomplish anything productive, would quickly dispense with all human contact, and would very well end up with a nasty case of arthritis in my over-used digits from constant gameplay.
Guy is a pony boy-after school special, strictly absent without leave from manhood. Super Adventure Club? When you go around attributing to yourself that you are the NRAs' or anyone elses "worst nightmare", you are not only full of shit, but you get your definitions of reality from TV. He gets to blather on at Huffpo, because that's what they're all about.
Since he claims to be a "screenwriter" , I wonder how often he has an only one use a gun to save the day? Surely he only writes nonviolent works for the screen.
I do remember how much fun it was to shoot in the beginning, and I still enjoy it sometimes, but it's more like a good job now. Necessary for survival, but not as much fun as gardening. [grin]
This twerp should follow me around for a few days. The gun is heavy, inconvenient and a serious responsibility 24/7.
A child in a house with a firearm and a pool is four times more likely to die by drowning than by gunshot. Parents who obsess on not allowing their children in homes that have a firearm should focus on the pools instead. For the children.
I wonder: If Beau Willimon gets his way and a ban on handguns and "assault weapons" is implemented, would *he* be willing to come and get mine from me?
"People couldn't kill other people with guns if they didn't have guns to begin with."
No, and people couldn't breath if they didn't have oxygen, either. People couldn't see without eyes. People couldn't drive without cars...what's your point?
If I couldn't kill someone (that needed killing) with a gun, I'd use a knife, a rock, a bow/arrow, or my bare hands. Taking the guns out of the equation does not solve the problem...people still kill each other. Furthermore, taking the guns out of the equation for law abiding citizens just gives those who would kill needlessly (like criminals, cops, and politicians) more power. They have no incentive to give up their guns. Neither do I.

He doesn't have a clue.
What a douche.
I had to laugh at his repeated comments showing a total lack of self-control.
Can't have a video game, might play too much.
Can't have a gun, someone might get hurt.
Gah! Can't have a brain, obviously.
I think the NRA's worst enemies are guys like me. Members who no longer believe them, no longer trust them and will soon, no longer be a member.
Ted you stole my thunder.... you too straightarrow!

What a hypocritical douchebag.
