Laws are for the little people and prosecutors want to maintain their perfect conviction records.
But... the vandalism assaults on the Rampart police station continue over the fatal police shooting of a Guatemalan immigrant who was waving a bloody knife in public and allegedly threatening people.
Right or wrong, people are taking action rather than just griping to each other.
