Facts of Shipley case lead to some conclusions, much speculation

But why should those in power have to pick and choose?
Good questions, these:
“An innocent FBI Agent is in federal prison because of the criminal actions of the ATF and the DOJ,” the source concluded, asking “How many other innocent people have been framed by the dishonesty of the United States Attorneys that are more concerned with a ‘victory’ than with honesty and integrity?”

Regarding the fist question, there's one aspect missing. It has to do with collusion between judges and prosecutors.
As to the second part, the answer is, in sum, the prosecution already has the "goods" on the defense attorney. Thus, it's pretty easy to get the defense attorney to fail to object at the right time, or to leave a matter be.
It doesn't matter how I know this - I left the legal profession because I witnessed these things.
My words mean nothing to people - it's also why I left the freedom movement.
We lost long ago, and, after spending ten years trying to wake people up, I finally gave up.
As I said, it doesn't matter what I know, or what I can or cannot prove. I couldn't even get friends and family to care back then. What luck would I have with a jury?
I also had theories on how to turn the system around, but gained no traction on those, ever with attorneys who knew the system was corrupt. (All continue to practice, BTW, and some are big in the freedom movement.)
Makes one wonder...
