Bring it on. [Read]
I'm actually glad to see this--she way overplayed her hand, has shown the antis for what they are, and has just done more to unify gun owners than anything in recent memory.

I read a report the other day that said that a lot of police, to include feds, are not going to enforce any kind of confiscation. The source said that they would be afraid to confront a armed citizen that is not going to comply with some illegal law. Looks like prune face has stepped in it.

Indeed... actually hopes she makes it to lamp post decoration day.
Got rope?
The problem with wackadoo proposals like this one is that with enough similar lunatic bullshit, people will eventually go "well, 10 round limits don't seem so bad, I guess."
This SHOULD bring everyone together into a nice united front, including the Fudds as your compatriot at Sipsey St calls them. Hopefully it serves as a wake up call.
I hope you're right man. A 1994 style ban could possibly have passed. If this new one passed it would mean this would be my last few months alive.
There are 11-round extended magazines available for the M1911. Can't say for sure until the full text is out, but it seems that would make it one of the banned firearms. Are they going to let murderers and rapists out of the prisons so we can go in, or will they just attempt to put us in barbed wire enclosures? This will be the most ignored US law since Prohibition.
This is where we break the back of gun control. They think they have us now, after their boy in Newtown was allowed to do his thing. We need to put the blame for that where it belongs - no armed security to protect the children, and too many old, empty state mental hospitals all over the country.
The left has the crazy homeless on the streets that they want, they're not really defined by their homelessness as much as they are by their senselessness - we should call them senseless people, since that is their greater lack. They can get a nice, clean bed for the night at the mission, but they sleep on the sidewalk? They're senseless people. But to the left they represent the social injustice of capitalism, and they have a destabilizing effect on American capitalist society, so the left wants them ranting, drinking and urinating on the street. That needs to change.
The antis lost the "qualified armed security" argument as soon as it was made. They howled their heads off over it, but it turns out that the schools where they send their kids have armed guards - argument over.
Turns out, this whole thing isn't about guns, it's about letting dangerous crazies run loose in society, and letting them kill our kids because we don't protect our kids adequately.
We need to make some changes, and that's going to mean no longer denying people the right to defend themselves and the children in their charge.
Feinstein is barking up a tired old tree. Remember the dark days of '94? We didn't have a Second Amendment Supreme Court decision to stand on back then, just our own faith that the Bill of Rights meant what it said, but we fought for our rights anyway, and eventually we got them back. However, that's all fine and well, but we do have to win this time too. We will make that happen.
We've been at war for a long time. We've just been in the "retreat" mode until now, hoping to avert all-out blood-letting hostilities. I don't think it can be put off much longer.
We should have gone to help the Weavers -- and the Branch Davidians -- and each and every instance the anti's have forced upon us. We should have learned from Jarbridge and Klamath falls that they will back down if faced with real opposition. Instead, we backed down and gave them the ground we were standing on. Now they want it all and we'll have to stand up to them again. But this time they're stronger and better prepared and they might not back down from a simple show of force -- we might actually have to back the show with real force, real patriots and real blood.
God help us and God bless America!
You can tell just how far they're disconnected by how far they think they can go this time.
I'm sure they thought if they killed enough children this time, they'd go "all the way"
Which means that if this stalls in either house, we can expect another major massacre by guns this year.
that was my first thought - WAR - but then, i thought, of COURSE she's asking for EVERYTHING-but she'll settle for half. Will "our side" concede that half and claim victory? we need to ensure there is NO SETTLEMENT.
David, I am glad too. It dovetails with the "Google Map" incident.
Anyone who is grandfathered will HAVE to be registered -- which will then end up on the internet; game over.
As drudge points out -- this is civil war.
Eloi of America, wake up.
"...will they just attempt to put us in barbed wire enclosures?"
Just about every Post Office in the US has a barbed wire enclosure for the vehicles. They also have 700,000 cops and half a million school buses at their disposal. The means for causing the next holocaust are in place. They just need an excuse to set the wheels in motion, and they have a "task force" working on that.
I'm sure that other people have gone into this in vastly greater detail than I just did, but even a cursory glance shows the capability that they have to commit mass murder against the American people. We all really need to own a good pair of wire cutters.
Today I went to the courthouse to renew my Georgia Firearms License. On the receipt a label was stuck on by the clerk at the Probate Judge's office with the 800 number and web address for the NRA-ILA. I'm thinking the folks where I live are very supportive of private firearm ownership. In fact, the Sherrif's Deputy who took my fingerprints was a staunch supporter of weapons carry by us mere mortals. It's gonna be difficult for any Federal Weapons Ban to be enforced here except, of course, by the Feds themselves.
Any attempt at confiscation will be met with Jim Bowie's reply.s
