Meyer wants that to happen by amending the general statutes “to establish a class C felony offense, except for certain military and law enforcement personnel and certain gun clubs, for (1) any person or organization to purchase, sell, donate, transport, possess or use any gun except one made to fire a single round, (2) any person to fire a gun containing more than a single round, (3) any person or organization to receive from another state, territory or country a gun made to fire multiple rounds, or (4) any person or organization to purchase, sell, donate or possess a magazine or clip capable of holding more than one round.” [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes the antis aren't trying to hide their true intent any more, which actually does us a huge favor.

Masks off anti-gun end game in Connecticut

Has anyone suggested not purchasing any goods or services that are made in or home based in the states that are anti 2A, be it existing laws and proposed laws by that states representative or by a majority of their residents? I realize that list could become restrictive quickly. You will choose what works for you of course but I believe it is something we should think about and look into. Why keep funding those that mean us harm? California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut are you listening.
Creatively ambiguous language: "...except one made to fire a single round".
The default interpretation would be "fires a single round before reloading", but an activist judge - i.e. many in the Northeastern/New England states - could make that mean "any gun that doesn't self-destruct after firing one round". It could be argued that because Grandpa's single-shot hunting rifle has fired hundreds of rounds (albeit one-at-a-time) over its lifetime, it is "made to fire multiple rounds", and is therefore subject to the ban.
We've given them crap for forgetting about "the People". Will the new accidentally- (or intentionally-) forgotten phrase be "without reloading"?
Care to comment, Sen. Edward "What Reloads?" Meyer?
It is ironic that this law in limiting weapons to single shots only attempts to return to conditions just before the Civil War.
Unfortunately, some of those states are home to gun manufacturers-I think Colt is in Connecticut, for example. Also, in most states, even the ones you mention, there are many people who support the second amendment, and many more who need to be educated.
I wonder if this person knows how much $$ his state is getting from Colt.
best regards,
Mary
