The infringement of our Second Amendment rights is to be limited by the imaginations of government officials? It's a right, not a privilege to be limited by whimsical restrictions imposed solely on the law-abiding.
I have a reasonable suggestion, well, at least reasonable by the criteria that I see from some. First, require all those who wish to freely express their 1st Amendment expression of religion rights to be fingerprinted. Require that the doors of churches/synagogue/temple/mosque/shrine/chapel/generic house of worship have fingerprint scanners, and if your fingerprints are not in the database, then you are denied admission. There will be at least a $100 fee to handle the costs of processing of the application and database maintenance. The cost of the fingerprint scanning equipment and a charge per scan with a query of the database must be covered by the house of worship. Fines and/or imprisonment by all those who do not comply. Since we do not want to establish any particular religion or discriminate, this will apply to all religions.
Doesn't this sound as reasonable as the current system of IDs, permits and licenses for possession of firearms and ammunition and NICS checks for the acquisition of firearms for those who dare to express their 2nd Amendment rights?
Enjoy the continued full expression of your rights as long as your government allows you to enjoy them, as some rights are more right than others.
