Fortunately, it's pretty easy to read Morse code:

During his years as a police officer John Morse was always armed when he was off-duty.... Morse followed up his law enforcement by representing District 11, which encompasses Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, as a Democratic state senator. He lost in the 2013 recall election after his support of gun control measures. He recently got back into gun law spotlight. He was invited to attend President Barack Obama's speech in early January on his push to tighten gun control laws.
