Whenever some anti-gun twit tells me that armed civilians will never rise up against the government and win, I tell them they already have, several times. The first time was the election of 1800, when the same sort of shenanigans were going on. Through an “error,” some idiot misvoted and we ended up with equal numbers of votes cast for president and VP (in those days, they weren’t a single ticket). This threw the election into the House, which schemed at least to cheat Jefferson of his victory, and at most to install one of their own men of the opposing party. The Pennsylvania and Virginia militias called shenanigans on the congress and mobilized. The congress, feeling the heat, suddenly saw the light and affirmed Jefferson.

Don’t think it couldn’t happen again, cheating liberals.
