Hindsight, of course, being 20/20, it's relatively easy to point out who did what wrong, and I question how long it would take most people, including trainers, to process and respond appropriately to a surprise. When you're in practice, you expect it. When you're away from the range, very few are able to instantly and effectively react.

That said, there are helpful observations for us to apply here that will be forever lost on those willful sheep who deliberately make themselves easy pickings.
