I wonder why an 11-year veteran assumed he could get away with that. Any questions what his victim would have been sentenced to had the situation been reversed, and especially if he lied about it to authorities?
Being a low-level thug pays pretty good up there. I don't suppose they'll expect him to help pay for the costs of legal proceedings that have been going on for over a year?
