People have been predicting that if America fell it would be as a result of rot from within almost as long as America has existed.
It isn't really an original thought. Before the first barbarian force looked up at the walls of Rome, it had become a rotten fruit, seemingly as strong as ever but hollowed out from within.
But consider Europe for a moment. What were once the mightiest military forces in the world could not combine to push Muammar Gaddafi off of the throne of Libya without American support. Why? Because their people have allowed themselves to focus on things like universal basic income, five weeks of paid vacation, guaranteed employment, and a 36 hour work week even in the face of a renewed perhaps more aggressive Russian bear combined with a slow walking invasion of a culture that would be happier if the West were praying to Allah five times a day.
All of the things the Left are working for here in the USA.
There is an American Taliban. It does pose an existential threat to the America founded in 1789. On this we can agree with those on the Left. Where we disagree is who in fact comprises that American Taliban.
It wouldn't be the first time the Left projected their faults onto others.
There's no more appropriate time than this week to turn this question around into the question that should be asked: What do terrorists routinely succeed in doing to American administration fascists?
We give them shitloads of military equipment, and then beg them for mercy.
If "America" holds true to form, we'll make out on this deal.
