In a rural area near here, surveillance video shows a convenience store was being robbed by a man with a gun. He seemed to one patron to intend to shoot the cashier whether she cooperated or not. The customer got two bottles of beer from the back and broke one over the robber's head. The robber shot him four times and ran. The good guy is going to make a full recovery. The robber is still at large.
Didn't even take a KNIFE to a gunfight. Brave.
A handgun is what you carry when you DON'T expect trouble.
