Of course they can read. The sign says plain as day "You will be all powerful in here, nobody can stop you.", if you're a bad guy.
If your a good guy it says plain as day "We don't value you enough to care whether you die here or not."
To the cretins that push this policy it says plain as day "We are in control, they know who's the boss, now."

Just like the Mall of America. After Minnesota passed shall issue concealed carry, they posted signs saying "Absolutely no firearms allowed!" My wife smugly said, "Awwww!" I said, "You're gloating?!? To me, that sign says "Welcome criminals! Happy hunting! No victim can shoot back here!"
My first suggestion would be that we ensure that 'postal workers' are NOT "the only ones"! Again, obviously, I know. But fun nonetheless!
