CeaseFire criminal corruption may rival that of Bloomberg mayors

“Another CeaseFire employee was sentenced to Cook County boot camp in 2011 for possession of a machine gun/automatic weapon,” the report continues. “Since 2010, five other CeaseFire employees have been sentenced to federal prison -- and a sixth was sentenced to probation -- in drug cases.” [More]
If Chi-town gang members and other criminals want us to give up our guns, what could possibly go wrong? After all, they’re on the same side as the Demanding Moms, the Bradys, and the Bloomberg Everytowners, not to mention the official Democrat Party platform and the Obama administration.

Spend that Bloomberg Money! Then Check the Names.

Anybody check those names? How many are unique? Any limits on how many one person can sign? Any schools exploiting child labor in the form of class assignments to provide uncompensated benefits for billionaire Bloomberg's 501(c)(4) corporation?  Any "prohibited persons" sign any cards?  Any fictitious persons? Etc.?

How many like "Jeffrey Dahmer" are there (directed to SF reps, so no harm done as they're all anti-gun anyway)?

Sorry Richard Martinez. My sympathy has been almost completely replaced with opposition, so the gloves are off. Too bad you chose to attack my rights, and those of my sons.

Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics

The thing about rates is if one person out of 10 does something, it appears "worse" than 9 people out of 100.

What are the actual totals compared to the "gun control" states?

How many track back to Only Ones?

How many are criminals, meaning they immerse themselves in unhealthy choices and can't honestly be portrayed as "gun owners"?

You see why the CDC needs a tight rein, to make certain they stay within the boundaries of real research vs. naked propaganda to facilitate gun bans.

I'll leave statistical debunking to pros like John Lott.  For deceptive crap like this, I'll merely observe that the responsible gun owners I know share no commonalities with these cesspoolers. Any time the Prozis want to put the ranks of Democrats up against, say, the 5 million members of the NRA, let's go.

I'll even let them throw in the populations of disarmed England and Japan of they really want to do a rate comparison.

A Brief Three Percent Catechism

These four principles -- moral strength, physical readiness, no first use of force and no targeting of innocents -- are the hallmarks of the Three Percent ideal. Anyone who cannot accept them as a self-imposed discipline in the fight to restore the Founders' Republic should find something else to do and cease calling themselves a "Three Percenter." [More]
Mike initiates novices into the fullness of Threeper life.

Also, he called me last night from the airport about this:
...I had another interesting occurrence with my computer this time...
Evidently someone with TSA-or-above "authority" loosened some screws or some such to remove a part of the cover--I don't have all the details but I note it's not the first time Mike has noticed peculiar third-party curiosities involving his laptop, and I think documenting that is important (which is why I briefly mentioned it last night on Armed American Radio, just so there would be more corroboration than Mike's after-the-fact say-so if something he does not control happens as a result.

What might happen?  I dunno, I really have no basis to speculate, or even conclude that wasn't part of a random routine instead of a targeted action. But spyware and/or malware come to mind, or, noting something someone tried to set up another liberty leader with, there is another insidious potentiality that enemies could try in an attempt to discredit and set up. Like I said, worries about directed tampering could prove to be much ado about nothing, and Mike did not ask me to do anything but be personally aware of his observation, but one thing I learned from Fast and Furious is that the best protection we outsiders have sometimes can be shining bright lights and banging pots and pans.

Connecticut Gun Commission Exhibits Mental Issues of Its Own

The latest bizarre proposals, presented under the auspices of the Orwellian-named Subcommittee on Firearms/Ammunition, Best Practices/Protocols and Violence Reduction, are numerous, bureaucratic, unwieldy, terminally politically correct, and frankly, pretty stupid. As far as concerns for gun owners, they boil down to two big showstoppers: They want to "[r]equire that any shell casing for ammunition sold or possessed in Ct. have a serial number laser etched on same for tracing purposes," and "[t]hat a mental health suitability screening process be developed for anyone seeking a license to sell, purchase or carry any type of firearm in Ct." A Form Reply from Sherrod

Dear Mr. Codrea:

Thank you for expressing your views on firearms legislation.

The Second Amendment makes clear that Americans have the right to own guns, and the Supreme Court over time has given meaning to this right. Americans know that with rights come responsibilities. And when our children and families are no longer safe at our schools, in our malls, and in our movie theaters, then we as a country must take action.

Last year, the Senate considered bipartisan legislation that would have provided a reasonable approach to expanding background checks for gun sales. While individuals who purchase guns from licensed gun dealers are subject to background checks, those who obtain guns from other sources, such as the internet or gun shows, are not. Senators Manchin and Toomey introduced a bipartisan proposal that would have required background checks for all gun sales in commercial settings. Such a change would help ensure that guns stay out of the hands of criminals or the mentally unstable. Approximately 90 percent of all Americans supported this proposal, but it was blocked by a filibuster that required a supermajority for passage. I am disappointed that a minority of the Senate prevented action on this issue.

Gun control is a complex issue and we must work together to uphold our Constitution while at the same time ensuring that our communities are safe. Should the Senate consider this issue in the future, I will be sure to keep your views in mind.

Thank you again for being in touch with me.

Sincerely,
Sherrod Brown

Ain't it something...?  Examiner's DISQUS moderator has no problem letting pure unadulterated spam slip through, but get a relevant comment and forget it--particularly one that is time-critical, as after today it won't be able to do any good.  Meaning my tech support ticket won't solve anything until it's too late.

So I guess I'd best post this here, in re the McDaniel/Cochran race:
Terrific article. Thanks. The crying shame is that we could've had several *dozen* Brat-Cantor-type upsets, had the gun rights, tea party, conservative and Republican
communities graded honestly and lifted a finger. Not least, we could've forced Lindsey Graham into a runoff and then defeated him. For evidence, one need only see the Brat-Cantor race. Brat went from being down 33 points to winning by 12 in one month, thanks to haphazard grassroots and talking head support, and thanks to the endorsement, ads and robocalling for Brat by Gun Owners of America. Cantor was defeated despite the NRA endorsing and campaigning for him, despite GOA's failure to downgrade Cantor from an A to the D or F he deserves (thus undermining GOA's own national endorsement and spending for Brat) and despite the national Sterile Bee Queen "Tea Party" groups' passive-aggressive or open support for Cantor, open-immigration and amnesty. Lindsey Graham avoided a runoff by just 9% against 6 more conservative candidates. Given the rapid Brat swing, Graham could've easily lost by 9% instead, forced into a runoff, then defeated, if the major loyal American organizations and talking heads had lifted a finger. At least Graham was only rated C by GOA. But, had GOA's grade reflected GOA's observation of the effect of open immigration on gun rights, Graham would've been an F, that alone might have been enough to hold him to a runoff.

The national "Tea Party" groups "stayed out" of the Brat-Cantor race, yet immediately took credit for it in their typical, fraudulent, Nigerian-style fundraising emails. All major "Tea Party" groups either openly endorse amnesty or passive-aggressively support it (e.g., Club for Growth). Sal Russo's "Tea Party" Express has endorsed amnesty, < http://theteaparty.net/>TheTeaParty.net is in bed with the open-immigration San Francisco neo-"Libertarian" group The Independent Institute (effectively an "Immigration-Socialist" group), and "FreedomWorks" was founded by openly
pro-amnesty beltway lobbyist and Chamber of Commerce waterboy Dick "Amnesty" Armey. All these groups, including "Tea Party Patriots", suck money out of Tea Party candidate coffers with hysterical, fundraising cons claiming to support certain candidates or issues -- 95% of the money actually goes for lavish salaries and sweetheart consulting contracts.

Joe Miller has clearly and consistently opposed
and exposed amnesty in personal communications and campaign emails. e.g.,
< http://joemiller.us/2013/06/amnesty-another-ruling-class-effort-to-destroy-America > http://joemiller.us/2013/06/am...
Also, Miller's opponents are waterboys for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Hence, it's incredible that Miller has no NumbersUSA rating, which means either NumbersUSA neglected to send it to him and make sure he got it, or he declined or neglected to fill out their questionnaire. I emailed Miller and his campaign about this last week, so if he
refuses or neglects to reply or fill it out, then he will pay a price, including my support. I've been a Miller donor since 2010.

We're the Only Ones Killing (the) Bill Enough

It was a great session, marred only by the defeat of  SB-296/HB-209 by Sen. Jeff Brandes and Rep. Heather Fitzenhagen. This was the bill to allow law-abiding citizens to carry their firearms with them during a mandatory evacuation under a declared state of emergency, rather than leave them in their homes for theft by looters or destruction by hurricanes or other disasters.

However, the Florida Sheriffs Association and numerous anti-gun sheriffs fought to kill the bill. [More]
When would you need them more?

So the bottom line is, Jack Latvala and his coalition of police state-enabling RINO kapos and fascist enforcement thugs need to be booted the hell out of power.

And just to show our actions support the alarms we raise, every one of those sheriffs who pressed for citizen disarmament ought to have their departments denied training program participation.

Yeah, like that'll happen...

Gosh, and those types of fireworks are illegal in California ... you'd almost think these revelers were predisposed to break the laws or something...

At least with the fireworks part, the Prozis are busy going after those trying to comply with the law: They continually try to ban the so-called "safe and sane" state-approved kind that are legal (whistlers, fountains, and the like) that are sold by nonprofits over the Fourth of July period in cities that allow it. A volunteer group can make several thousands of dollars in just a few days to help pay for band/sports equipment and/or uniforms, charity efforts, and the like, so naturally, all such efforts must be condemned and halted.

This Day in History: June 24

The advance of a large body of Greek Indians, headed by a number of their most celebrated chiefs, and warriors, and a British Officer, was announced at half after one o'clock this morning by a most furious attack upon Lieut. ColQ Posey's light Company, placed for the protection of two field pieces, a little in the rear of his Battallion. Their onset was impetuous, and their numbers so superior, as to cause that little gallant corps to fall back a few paces, which put the enemy for a few moments in possession of that artillery, but immediately rallying under the Conduct of Captain Parker, [More]

Bloomberg’s support of Cochran puts gun groups on spot to justify ‘A’ ratings

That said, of more immediate shared concern for NRA and GOA should be what they intend to do now that Bloomberg has thrown his support behind Cochran. Will GOA modify its grade, and come up with compelling reasons for doing so? Will NRA rescind its endorsement and back challenger McDaniel? Will they do it now, today, and make their voices heard loud and clear, for maximum impact, and to help counter an influx of Democrat crossover voters? [More]

GUN GRAB ALERT! UN Caught Posting New York "DDR" Jobs for DISARMAMENT!  [Watch]

Looks real to me--the job, that is. What it ultimately means in terms of real and imminent danger, vs. another ineffectual a bureaucratic placement, is unknown.

Here's a detailed job description. I can't open a related PeopleSoft link without enabling cookies, something I'm not prepared to do at the moment.

"Caught" implies they were trying to hide it. The opening could be related to administrative functions following Obama and Kerry acting like the ATT is something they have legitimate executive authority to regard as de facto ratified.  I'd also need to know if such a position has ever been filled here before and what those people did. While I wouldn't be inclined to jump to such "definitive" conclusions, this certainly merits being looked into.
