We're the Only Ones Unannounced Enough

What We Know About the Killing of Breonna Taylor [More]

What an intolerable travesty. In many ways, particularly with the "Vision Russell" aspect, it reminds me of the corrupt execution of Donald Scott. And as always, the ones paying for it -- the tax cows -- are the ones who didn't do anything.

That's why "conservatives" aren't doing themselves any favors with mindless "Back the Blue" pandering. They wouldn't be called "Only Ones" if they weren't immune from much of what they'd kill us for.

If occasional "no-knock" raids help facilitate officer safety, blatant abuse of it is what brought votes to ban the practice about.

UPDATE: Well, this certainly puts a counterpoint to what the "news" has been telling us and gives what appears to be credible information to warrant rethinking some assumptions:

Snitches Get What Again?

This is a purported court motion filed by the defense for J. Alexander Kueng, one of the officers charged along with the others for the death of George Floyd:

In re whether this is real or a hoax, while I haven't been able to find a copy of this document accessible from the Minnesota Judicial Branch records access webpage ( I believe a document request is needed but haven't driven deeper into that process), I was able to find a corresponding entry for that case on that date:

Not that I'm excusing or condoning anything, but I do wonder if some now "protesting " in George Floyd's name would have rabidly joined in the deed themselves had they known.

UPDATE: Appears to be real. [H/T Wirecutter]

Today U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) will introduce the David Dorn Back the Blue Act to raise police officer salaries and increase officer hiring and retention. [More]

Including the "Only Ones" who take knees and confiscate guns?

Yeah, he's a damn fork-tongued squish about that

He's a lawyer -- I wonder if he can cite the clause in the Constitution where the Founders envisioned this as a function of the national government.

This is the kind of flag-waving-for-show that gives fuel to those equating Republicans with fascist police statists. That there are plenty who fall for it works against those who prefer Bill of Rights enforcement overriding law enforcement.

An Idea Whose Time Has Come?

The initiative is a partnership between Missouri’s Attorney General and U.S. attorneys to prosecute violent crimes. [More]

Don't Assume Good News

The trespassing charges are being reviewed by the City Counselor’s office. The office is currently looking at videos of the protest. Deputy City Counselor Mike Garvin tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that they want “to see where the accused trespassers were at the time.” [More]

My guess is they're probing claims by the defense for vulnerability.

Watch and Learn

This is where we are today.  Prosecutors will arrest homeowners for brandishing weapons inside their own home, but fail to turn police loose on rioters who threaten the homeowners. [More]

Now ask yourself what would have happened had he listened to Joe Biden:

"Well, you know, my shotgun will do better for you than your AR-15, because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door."

Their Wish Is His Command

The Michael Bloomberg financed astroturf group, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense, the group who recently endorsed Joe Binden for president, was exposed in a released email where they were caught calling on New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy to close gun shops as non-essential. Just days later Governor Murphy had all mom-and-pop gun shops shuttered. [More]

Let the Mail-Ins Begin!

Uncounted Primary Ballots Were Just Miraculously Found ... Because of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, election officials received 28,062 mail-in ballots. There were another 2,126 provisional ballots. One of the main reasons the county saw such a large increase in mail-in ballots is because New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) ordered the state to hold a mail-in election.  [More]

That the Post Office just somehow "lost" a box of cigars I ordered that should have been delivered days ago and now claims cluelessness as to where it ended up hardly fills me with confidence in the integrity of the system...

FBI: Person in custody in connection with drive-by shooting outside federal courthouse in Downtown Phoenix [More]

That courthouses by their very nature attract criminals and criminal relatives and associates is a reason why I would like to see a law passed mandating that a jury summons, with a de facto mandate to appear unarmed, creates a "special relationship" duty for the state to protect.

A "liberal arts major" is qualified to do that? Do her rich parents carry malpractice coverage for her? And have a lawyer on retainer for practicing medicine without a license?

Watch the DSM, which has the resources to investigate, go dark on pointing out how these young class-struggling communists accept the privileges of capitalism to retain a defense team their public defender-dependent comrades cannot afford.
