Oregon lawmaker rebuffed on proposal to arm teachers

"In crisis situations there are a lot of very complex things happening all at once and you have to constantly train for deadly force incidents," Chief George asserted in top “Only Ones” form. Evidently 16 hours per year equates with "constantly." [More
Today's second Gun Rights Examiner report notes arrogance and deliberate indifference. Creepy how what that results in supports the gun-grabber agenda.

A-rated, endorsed ‘pro-gun Democrat’ shows true colors as NRA stays silent

The media is waiting to put a microphone in front of NRA spokesmen. That will be an opportunity not to jerk every time the chain gets yanked, but to put to good use, to amplify the message America needs to hear. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report warns our supposed leaders that they must start picking better friends and leading.

Dred Scott, John San(d)Ford, and the Case for Collusion

I've been so wrapped up, as you can imagine, I forgot to tell you about a new article by David Hardy on the notorious Dred Scott decision.

I got this link in an email I opened late Friday night and wanted to wait until today because traffic drops noticeably on the weekend.

Confession: I still have not had time to read it.  I will, this week, and then I'll have more to say.  Knowing, respecting and admiring his outstanding work, I'm sure it will be all good.

Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain

It's not about the fear of what one motivated maniac can do in a crowded place, but about the precariousness of social control that the killing sprees imply. [More]
Do you think a few could control the many without relying primarily on the power of illusions?

What a Cloistered Idiot

"Sophisticated" media trappings, circles and appearances aside, you really are a provincial and ignorant rube, aren't you, Bernie? [More]

Private Matters

"I hope their privacy will be respected," Congressman Moran told the paper. "They look forward to putting this embarrassing situation behind them." [More]

I'll bet they do.

Too bad Moran doesn't respect our privacy.

An Impartial Analysis

Yeah, I can see where that has all kinds of relevance to a political spending recap.

Hey, isn't that what an "Only Ones" proponent really wants: "Someone to watch over me"?

China Calls for ‘No Delay’ on Gun Controls in U.S. [More]
The Second Amendment is a human rights violation, you see.

Missiles? What missiles?

Just remember, folks: The Brady Campaign, Dianne Feinstein, The New York Times, NBC, Michael Bloomberg, and the list goes on and on and on ARE ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE COMMUNIST CHINESE.

A Global Deterrent

Some global supporters of gun control, in particular, say the Connecticut shootings underline the urgent need to implement a proposed treaty curbing the international trade in small arms, in part to prevent such tragedies. [More]
OK. "Authorized Journalist" Harvey Morris, flesh it out for us ... you've set us up with a premise, now expand on it.  Because the usual suspects pooh-pooh opposition to the ATT as paranoia, tell gun owners they have nothing to fear, and that the treaty won't have any effect on the Second Amendment, it's merely an export agreement between nation states or some such devious blather.

How would a ratified and enacted UN Arms Trade Treaty have prevented this, or had any impact at all?

Come on, man, you started this dialogue.  Explain how.

A Cardinal Sin

He also said the massacre is a "clarion call" for legislation to keep automatic weapons out of the hands of private citizens. [More]
He probably got that "automatic" bit from Mumbles

I guess he's saying the "Only Ones" who should be trusted with such weapons are the police, the military and these guys.

It Depends on What the Meaning of the Term "Gun Rights Advocate" Is

Schieffer explained on air that representatives of the National Rifle Assn. had been invited to appear on “Face the Nation,” but had declined. Similarly, all eight of Schumer’s Republican colleagues on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which oversees guns, were asked to appear; all eight declined. [More
Now that's leadership.

Kudos to Louie Gohmert, though. Somebody who takes point while the rest are hiding under beds deserves to know he's not as alone as things may appear. We ought to take a second and let him know he did good--if you want to bypass his contact form non-constituent disqualifier, the 75701 Zip Code works.

Thing is, there's no shortage of gun rights advocates who could and would stomp the antis into the studio floor, but small fry don't have the media-designated gravitas to get invited on the big boy shows.

Speaking of Killing Millions...

BY ALL MEANS, let's have your 'civil war,' so your tiny 3% can be plowed into the soil and we can civilize this country. We are much more eager for it than you are, you criminal, because we know we will bury you.
That "tiny 3%" of an estimated 80 - 100 million gun owners would still be millions. Nice of him to take the mask off and show us the genocidal intent from those who want to initiate force, then use that as an excuse to eradicate us, and "plow [us] into the soil."

Anybody think mass graves will remain just curiosities from a time long past? Who wants to obey him, disarm, and trust to the mercy of such monsters?

The guy writes like a CSGVer, doesn't he?  What a sick, cowardly and evil f***.

Who Really Needs Assault Components?

Such an individual with a penchant for electronics can pull together components from a Radio Shack or electronic store – even order the components off of selected Internet websites – and fashion a radio frequency, or RF, weapon. [More]
